Lux Ride, Saturday, 5/24/14

Some of us who couldn't make the power line ride today couldn't stand it and hit the Lux.  Dewey and his boys, Russ and his family, Jim and his son, me and my buddy Ed.  It was a blast.   Dewey was able to miss most of the mud, but I found a puddle or two.  Ed missed the hint to roll up the window, tho.  We did rescue a dude who'd buried his Ford F350 up to the axle across the river.  After the Ford's engine fire, I got to add my winch to Russ' to finally get the guy out.  Woo-hoo, first time I've winched someone out!  

Things I need to add to my kit:
1. Fire extinguisher
2. Gloves
3. Small shovel
4. Flash light (didn't need one today, but I thought Russ' looked cool).

Note to self, never go back out on a ride without jeans and boots on!

A few more pictures.  Somehow, my side didn't get as dirty as Ed's side.  I do think I got more mud inside this trip than last....

Oh you should see the inside of mine. Got my work cut out for me tomorrow!

Got mine mostly cleaned up. I really don't know what to do with the back seat. I kind of hope it just get's better with time....

Let it dry in the sun then go to a car wash and use the vac there. They're high powered and will clean it up nicely. Take a spray bottle of all purpose cleaner and a scrub brush with you for the stains if you have any. Then vac it again.

Man I hate I missed out... But I still haven't gotten all the mud out of inside from the last ride...
