Got a box of fun on the front porch earlier today. It didn't even make it inside before I ripped into it. Hoping to get this glued to my 8.8 then under my jeep this weekend.

Dan found me a 4.11 Dana 30, so it looks like I'll be keeping my front driveshaft in my jeep after all. ...oh, hello HPO. I didn't see you there.

Didn't get back from picking them up til 9 tonight. My dad didn't tell me his brakes might be this bad. Had the front passenger brakes lock up on me after this happened. Took about an hour and a half on the side of the road outside Selma, AL to fix it.

Dam got your money out of those brakes glad you were just on the side of the road and not in a ditch.

So...the 8.8 won't be getting installed until this weekend. Real class starts tomorrow and I need to get back. I'll be coming right back on Friday to get it done on Saturday though. Just had to many delays from taking too long to remove the old axles on Saturday to taking an entire day Sunday to go get the new D30. Was gonna just put in the 4.10 D35 I until this weekend, but the guy didn't leave the drums on it and we couldn't find all the parts to build new ones. I at least have a picture of the new front axle installed (took it before bolting the track bar back up and refilling the differential).

So today was not the day. It's ready to bolt in as soon as I get the brakes set up though. It went under, out, and back under the jeep several times tonight getting the brackets set up where they needed to be. Can anybody guess what we did wrong with the coil buckets? The 8.8 is finally installed and all buttoned up. The only issue (so far, with crossed fingers) is something I knew, but should've thought about. The 8.8 is 1.5" shorter than my old d35. I was already having a little rubbing before the swap, but now it is way too tight in there to drive. Coming up to get some spacers and drop off an axle shaft for Dale tomorrow then coming home, putting the wheel spacers on, and driving back up. Didn't really take too many pictures today because I was so excited to get finished up.
