Tried out the heater on the way home tonight and found out it doesn't work. The air blows but never gets warm at all.
Where should I start to try and fix it?

Contact CHEEZO. He'll figure it out. Worth the drive to his shop, he saved me ton$ with club member discounted labor rate.

What's your temp gauge showing after you've been running it a while?

then your coolant is functioning as it should not sure about your jeep model but there may be heater bypass valve that isn't opening up or possibly something between your controls and the door in the ducting that pivots when the switch flips from hot to cold.

Still need to ck the coolent level don't just look at over flow jug pull the cap and look in the rad.if it's a little low will still run cool but you get air pockets in the sys and will affect heater.

sure coolant system should be done every two years for optimal performance brake systems every four years
fuel system should have some sort of water remover and cleaner added every three/four months with what the GOVERNMENT is doing to polute gasoline oil every 2,500 miles / six months i change oil filter & add a quart.....< $10........lets me keep a close eye on under hood items & every year (on MY BIRTHDAY weekend) I change oil/filter and lubricate everything when you think about preventative costs versus repair costs.........money well spent IMO

Found out why the heater wasn't working. Radiator needed flushing and a new water pump and thermostat. Heat works better but not great. Shop said I'd need a new heater core to get the heat to work any better. $1,500 in repairs over the last 3 weeks...........not too happy about that.

We can help out with a lot of that stuff instead of taking it to the shop and having them charge you an outrageous amount for labor. A little bit of pizza and beer is much cheaper.
