Okay so I just got back from getting energy drinks for my all nighter I'm pulling for tomorrow's exam. When I left the gas station, my headlights wouldn't come on but my fog lights and dash lights would. It seems like the mechanism you pull to turn on headlights is stuck and just won't come out all the way? Anybody else know about this in a TJ?

Mine did the opposite. Fog lights wouldn't come on or would come on by themselves... I took the column switch apart and fixed it. It's pretty easy to see what's going on when you take it apart. Here is link I found explaining how to. www.wranglerforum.com/showthread.php?p=1580631Also a good time to fix intermittent windshield wiper if any position doesn't work. Just spread the grease around the contacts and it works again.

Dam that sucks at least if you get pulled over you will have a jeep full of energy drinks and not a case of beer. Let me know if you need a electrical schematic for your ride.

I fix the same thing on a 97. Tim is correct, it was the switch on the column. Of Course this isand after I change the headlight switch. Not really that bad to change out. All your lights( head and fog) run through the column switch. Id start there. Not to state the obvious but did you check the fuses.

Yeah I forgot to post that I fixed it. It was just the switch. Switched it out in the Advance Auto parking lot in about 5 minutes.
