The previous owner had shocks installed that were short so the suspension was tight. Little to zero movement underneath. Everything was stiff and made for a very rough ride. This was in a small dip and as much as it would stretch.

Got started on it and loosened things up a bit, tossed the front shocks. It's my daily driver so we put it back together temporarily, minus the front shocks. I drove it 4 days to work and back home, very slowly.

Back in the shop and ready to install slip yoke eliminator. Ran into a little snag and needed a 231 to match everything up. Thanks to great Jeeper buddies, I had a replacement overnight. Shout out to slagjeep, cheezo, and b3concepts for the quick find. Thanks guys! Attachments:

Head on collision between my right front spring mount and a huge rock at HPO broke the weld, so I limped home and called my friend Shawn to weld it up. The following weekend I rode the old mines at Brookwood, AL and a shock mount came loose before the fun began. No biggie there. Got it welded back and had a hitch welded on too. Went on a day trip to Boggs & Boulders in AL and the clutch decided to go. Limped home with no clutch, 3-1/2 hours from home, and speed shifting. I drove it straight to Shawn's shop and had the clutch replaced. All good again. Not long after that I decided its time to add the locker in the front. I had an axle seal leaking and had to open the front diff anyway. 8.8 would come later when I found one at a halfway fair price. So a fellow YJ'er helped me replace the axle seals, and put the locker and posi-lok cable in.
